California’s premier LASIK, SMILE, and EVO ICL practice, IQ Laser Vision, is seeking a full-time, results-driven, reliable, and detail-oriented Patient Pre-Op Specialist to join our growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity for career advancement, with the potential to be promoted to a Patient Counselor (Vision Correction Specialist).
As a Patient Pre-Op Specialist, you will serve as a vital link between our Vision Correction Specialists and patients, helping prepare individuals for their life-changing vision correction procedures. Responsibilities may include gathering patient information, recording basic vitals, and ensuring patients are informed and comfortable throughout the pre-operative process. Previous medical experience is not required—we provide comprehensive training. However, quick learners with strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.
For those looking to grow within the organization, the Vision Correction Specialist role involves conducting consultations with prospective patients, educating them about their vision correction options, and helping guide them through the decision-making process. The ideal candidate is motivated, personable, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. A background or interest in sales and marketing is a plus, though previous medical experience is not required.

Sample Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients;
- Responsible for meeting and greeting patients both within the Center and via telephone or virtually;
- Prepare, file and maintain all patient charts and data entry;
- Provide a strong commitment to patient care.
- The ideal candidate must have the ability to interact tactfully with patients, referral sources, physicians, and staff.
- Must be professional, with a warm, friendly demeanor who demonstrates leadership, is capable of multitasking, and is a problem-solver.
- Must be willing to travel to and work at multiple office locations as needed
Qualifications:
- Bilingual fluency in both English & Mandarin, required;
- Detail oriented;
- Healthcare experience and/or sales experience is an asset but not a requirement;
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public;
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word software; Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software; Internet Explorer; Microsoft Outlook contact management software;
- Availability on some Saturdays;
- Personable and outgoing;
- Team player.
